Don is a native Kentuckian who earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. He earned his L.L.B. degree from George Washington University's Law School in 1960. While he was attending college and law school, he worked for seven years as a security agent in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He had previously served in the U.S. Army's Counter Intelligence Corps for three years. After his ten year career in the spy business, Don changed careers and entered private industry. Primarily with computer companies, he rose through the executive ranks and became Chief Executive Officer at several different firms while serving on the Board of Directors and acting as in house legal counsel. He started up and managed his own successful executive search firm, and ended his business career as an independent business consultant raising venture capital for start up business firms. He raised over $10 million for these firms. After ten years in semi-retirement, and wishing to fulfill a long time ambition, Don passed the California bar exam, and in 1997, he started on his third career... the practice of law. He is engaged in a general practice with experience in personal injury, civil litigation, and criminal law. He is a member of the American Bar, Los Angeles County Bar, and South Bay Bar Associations. He earned a Diploma from the prestigious National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is licensed to practice in all California courts, the U.S. District Court, Central District, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit Don and Rebecca have been married nearly half a century and have four children and eight grandchildren. Don loves all sports and actively participates in biking, walking, yoga, and basketball. He is an avid reader and has an eclectic taste in music and the arts.
